Drake Circus

A mix use retail space across two floors for a large cinema complex in a restricted and busy town centre location required a range of modern external street furniture. Being a coastal location low maintenance and durability were paramount.

The choice of materials was critical to ensure on-going maintenance wouldn’t become an expensive issue for the end client. The materials selected were pre-weathered untreated corten steel, 316 stainless steel and hardwood seat slats. Used for a range of planters with integral seating, planter edging stand-alone benches and seats, cycle stands, bollards and waste recycling units.

The finished result was a pleasing mix of furniture that blended well into the surroundings, complementing the surrounding retail units that should provide years of low maintenance products.
